🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

✨ Yardley Gobion to Hanslope Explorer – 10.5 miles ✨

Looking for a longer adventure to stretch your legs and build stamina? This 10.5-mile loop is a brilliant choice! Starting from Yardley Gobion, we wander past the water tower, fields, streams and bridleways before joining the peaceful canal. From there, the route takes us across the River Tove, through open countryside, and into the charming village of Hanslope.

At the halfway point we’ll pause for refreshments – whether it’s a hot drink, snack, or even a cheeky slice of cake from the local shop. We’ll also have the chance to peek inside Hanslope’s beautiful church (if no service is on). The return journey takes us past an equestrian centre, across the railway line, and back over the River Tove before heading home through “Spooky Alley” into Yardley Gobion.

🌿 Why join this walk?

• Perfect for newcomers – a friendly group, welcoming atmosphere, and no pressure pace.
• A great training hike for anyone building up to longer distances, challenge walks, or future adventures.
• Lots of variety: fields, farms, bridges, stiles, canal towpaths, villages, and plenty of countryside views.
• Dog-friendly for smaller dogs (though be prepared for stiles).

Bring snacks, water, and a smile – this one’s around 5 hours of steady walking and is sure to leave you with that satisfying “I did it!” feeling.

• We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. Keep an eye on your emails and the Facebook event page for notifications of any cancellations.
• We supply free sweets at the halfway stage.
